Centre for Rural Development – SEE is an organization from rural region of Struga. One of the main activities of CRD-SEE is promotion of art and especially streetart in Struga and its region. On 18th September 2010 Centre for Rural Development – SEE promote fire art in Struga. In this event attended over fifty youngsters with different ethnical, cultural, religious, lingual backgrounds. The event lasted for an hour, and the were presented different disciplines of fire art as: contact staff, poi, balls, balance etc. Participants were impressed from the fire exhibition and also the jugglers which are members of CRD – SEE were satisfied from the achieved results. After exhibition finished members of CRD-SEE were explaining to youngsters for the activities and possibilities which our organization is offering and the aim of those performances which will take place also in the future.
This kind of activities are planned to be organized in each Struga village, in the next period. The main theme of those performances is street art as an alternative way of expressing actual problems towards the society and also promotion of street art in rural areas.
In Macedonia and especially in rural areas the street art is not known that much and especially most of youngsters who are living in rural areas don’t have the opportunity to see street performances live. So throughout those performances we will focus on modern life of youth who are coming from different parts of Macedonia. Creative young people will talk and share about their problems, feelings and opinions while using art as a tool for expression, communication and learning and in the same time the performances will hold place in rural area, so this will be new experience for rural community and also for the most of the participants.
